Skate Like a Girl

Skate Like a Girl is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating an inclusive community by promoting confidence, leadership, and social justice through skateboarding. They empower skaters, especially young women, trans, non-binary, and gender expansive individuals, to grow into strong, confident leaders who champion equity within the skateboarding community and beyond. With chapters in Seattle, Portland, and the San Francisco Bay Area, Skate Like a Girl offers various programs, including youth summer camps, adult workshops, and community meetups, all designed to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for skaters of all skill levels.

About the activity:

GIRLS &/OR TRANS CAMP is a vibrant and empowering space designed exclusively for girls, trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive skateboarders aged 5-16! Whether your skater is stepping onto a board for the first time, honing their techniques, or eager to master exciting new tricks, this camp offers something for everyone. Campers will build confidence, create lasting friendships, and develop essential life skills through our inspiring SHRED curriculum, all while being supported by our dedicated staff and volunteers. And don’t forget—girls, trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive skaters are always welcome to join the fun during All Gender camp weeks too!
