Discover the world of coding! In this engaging and beginner-friendly course, young learners—including early readers—will develop computational thinking skills while exploring fundamental coding concepts like loops and conditionals. Using Scratch, a fun and interactive drag-and-drop coding platform, students will bring their creativity to life by designing their own games and animated stories, such as Dancing Dinosaur and Running Unicorn. As they build these projects, they’ll customize characters, add costumes, and incorporate exciting sound effects. By the end of the course, students will feel confident applying basic coding concepts to create their own Scratch animations and projects. This hands-on experience lays a strong foundation for future learning in computer science and problem-solving, all while having fun and making new friends!
