OMSI
OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) is a science and technology museum offering hands-on exhibits, educational programs, and immersive experiences.
Each summer, OMSI runs day and overnight camps for children entering grades K–12, with programming that includes science, engineering, outdoor adventure, and creative exploration.
Camps are held at the OMSI museum in Portland’s Central Eastside, as well as at Camp Gray on the Oregon Coast and Camp Hancock in the high desert. Prices for Summer Camp will be released when registration opens!
About the activity:
Get ready to see the big picture! Join us for a week of professional filmmaking where you’ll work alongside experts from NW Documentary to bring a real story to life. You’ll get hands-on with pro equipment and editing software, mastering everything from interviewing experts to writing narration. This session is perfect for self-motivated storytellers who enjoy a mix of high-energy production and focused editing time. The best part? Your final film will be shared with local organizations and screened for family and friends at OMSI’s Empirical Theatre on the final day!
All check-ins and pick-ups will take place across from OMSI’s North Parking Lot, located at: 1800 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214.
Check-in is at 7am on the start date of the program, and pick-up for Coastal Documentary Explorers is at 4pm
