About the activity:

This course is designed for students who wish to take Wellness over the summer. The graduation requirement for Central Catholic High School is one full year (both semesters) of Wellness. The content of this course will be drawn from a broad range of topics emphasizing physical, emotional, and mental health. Emphasis will be placed on a wellness approach rooted in Christian values, and the following issues may be discussed: body systems, fitness, sexuality, stress management, communicable and non-communicable diseases, mental and emotional health, family and social health, relationships, substance abuse, and decision-making. This class is primarily designed to serve incoming freshmen.
Credit: WEL 0.5/1.0 (one section = .5 credit; both sections =1.0 credit; all students are required to have 1.0 credit of Wellness to graduate)
