NW Children's Theater & School

Northwest Children's Theater & School is a leading Portland arts institution dedicated to educating, entertaining, and enriching the lives of young audiences through live theater and performing arts education.

Each summer, NWCT offers theater camps for ages 4–14, with programs ranging from creative play for young children to full musical productions for older youth.

Camps are held at multiple locations, including downtown Portland, northeast and southeast Portland, Beaverton, and Sherwood.

About the activity:

Shrek is perfectly happy living the ogre life in his swamp, but his world turns upside down when a caravan of fairy-tale creatures show up on his doorstep. It's no picnic dealing with blind mice, wooden puppets, talking animals -- and to top it all off, a princess! Will Shrek reclaim solitude in his swamp or discover the "Big Bright Beautiful World" out there after all? Everyone gets a part in this musical performance camp!

Performance Camps are all about putting on a play or musical. Students audition, rehearse, and perform. Families and friends are invited to the final performance held on the last Friday of camp.

At The Judy: Final Performance will be the last Friday of camp at 3:00 PM.
