Engineering for Kids offers hands-on STEM programs that introduce children to engineering concepts through engaging activities and projects.
Summer camps are available for children in preschool through middle school, with sessions covering topics like robotics, coding, and interactive engineering.
Camps are held at multiple partner locations throughout the Portland metro area, including schools and community centers in neighborhoods such as Beaverton, West Linn, and Happy Valley.
About the activity:
Get ready for an electrifying week of Electrical Engineering! Students will generate power using electromagnets, circuits, wind turbines, and solar panels. Through hands-on challenges and the EFK Engineering Design Process, they’ll bring their creations to life in this illuminating experience! Then in the afternoon, welcome to the Robo Games Carnival, where robots have fun, compete, and embark on exciting adventures! Students will build their own robots using the LEGO® Spike Prime kit, learn block coding, and program touch, color, and distance sensors. Using the EFK Engineering Design Process, they’ll tackle thrilling carnival-themed challenges and competitions! Note: Before and After care are available through Catlin Gabel.
