Northwest Children's Theater & School is a leading Portland arts institution dedicated to educating, entertaining, and enriching the lives of young audiences through live theater and performing arts education.
Each summer, NWCT offers theater camps for ages 4–14, with programs ranging from creative play for young children to full musical productions for older youth.
Camps are held at multiple locations, including downtown Portland, northeast and southeast Portland, Beaverton, and Sherwood.
About the activity:
Click your heels and get ready for an unforgettable journey to the magical world of Oz! In this high-energy Explore Camp, campers will step into the shoes of Dorothy and her friends, adventuring down the yellow brick road through storytelling, imaginative play, and creative challenges that celebrate friendship, courage, and heart. From over the rainbow to the Emerald City, they’ll bring the classic tale to life with theater-based fun all winter break long—because there’s truly no place like this camp! Families are invited to a special end-of-camp demo during the final 15 minutes of the last class.
