Portland Outdoor Explorers offers outdoor adventure programs for children, focusing on exploration, creativity, and skill-building in natural settings.
Summer programs are available for ages 5-12, featuring student-led activities such as wildcrafting, shelter building, games, and themed adventures.
Programs are based in the Rose City Park neighborhood of northeast Portland, with field trips to local parks and natural areas.
About the activity:
Place-based after-school adventures for kids at Alameda Elementary in NE Portland, led by instructor Haylee Wagner. Students explore their neighborhood, develop outdoor skills, and build community through child-led discovery. Available Monday through Friday as drop-in ($50/day) or monthly enrollment with sliding-scale pricing. Pickup at 2:30pm from Alameda; program ends by 6pm at Rose City Park.
