BodyVox is a dance center offering youth programs focused on creative movement, technique, and performance, taught by professional artists from leading dance companies.
Summer programming includes camps and classes for ages 3–20, with options for both beginners and advanced students, as well as a pre-professional Junior Artist Generator program for high school and gap year dancers.
Programs are held at BodyVox Dance Center in Portland’s Northwest neighborhood.
About the activity:
Give your elementary-aged student a full day of dance exploration during PPS Teacher Work Days! These special one-day programs welcome all students—no need to be enrolled in regular classes. Young dancers will spend the day moving, creating, and building community in BodyVox's brand new studios, complete with sprung floors, Marley surfaces, and state-of-the-art sound systems. Led by professional teaching artists from BodyVox, Open Space, and Oregon Ballet Theatre, kids will strengthen their technique while discovering their unique creative voice through dance.
