NW Film Camp offers filmmaking camps for kids and teens interested in learning the art and craft of film production.
Summer programs include week-long day camps for ages 8-11 (Creator Camp) and 12-17 (Filmmaker Camp), covering scriptwriting, filming, editing, and collaborative storytelling.
Camps are held at the World Forestry Center in Washington Park, a central location in southwest Portland.
Creator Camp: EpicVerse
Campers dive into storytelling through producing music videos, digital shorts, stop-motion animation, and greenscreen news broadcasts, transforming their ideas into vibrant on-screen worlds and stories to share.
Creator Camp: EpicVerse is a creative filmmaking playground for fans of KPop Demon Hunter, anime, comics, Legos, Pokémon, Minecraft, fantasy adventures, and collectibles like Skullpanda and Labubu. Here, campers don’t just celebrate their favorite universes, they draw inspiration from them to invent their own characters, stories, and worlds.
Notes
At EpicVerse, every fandom is celebrated. Campers share their passions, trade inspirations, and discover how the characters, creatures, and settings they love can spark entirely new creations. Through teamwork and imagination, creators collaborate to design original characters, craft sets and puppets, and produce short films that blend their unique styles with fandom-inspired elements.
From crafting heroes to producing mini movies, music videos, and stop-motion adventures, EpicVerse Creator Camp is where fans transform inspiration into original storytelling, collaboration brings worlds to life, and creativity has no limits.
