Journey to STEAM
Journey to STEAM provides hands-on robotics, coding, and LEGO-based education programs for children.
Summer camps offer week-long STEAM experiences for kids ages 5-12, with activities designed to keep young minds engaged and learning during school breaks.
Programs serve families and K-8 school districts throughout the Pacific Northwest.
About the activity:
Young engineers explore gears, levers, wheels, and pulleys by building LEGO moving machines in this weekly after-school program at Orenco Elementary in Hillsboro. Hands-on challenges each week build foundational mechanical engineering and STEM skills in a playful, collaborative environment. Spring term runs Tuesdays for ages 5–11.
