OMSI

OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) is a science and technology museum offering hands-on exhibits, educational programs, and immersive experiences.

Each summer, OMSI runs day and overnight camps for children entering grades K–12, with programming that includes science, engineering, outdoor adventure, and creative exploration.

Camps are held at the OMSI museum in Portland’s Central Eastside, as well as at Camp Gray on the Oregon Coast and Camp Hancock in the high desert. Prices for Summer Camp will be released when registration opens!

About the activity:

This camp is truly out of this world! Spend your nights mastering telescope techniques and your days exploring the high desert. You’ll learn the "stellar" differences between red dwarfs and blue giants before sleeping out under a blanket of stars. Because eastern Oregon is famous for its clear weather, we’ll have plenty of time to focus our lenses on distant galaxies. Between celestial observations, enjoy classic Hancock traditions like river time and campfire songs. Are you ready to launch into a week of discovery?

All check-ins and pick-ups will take place across from OMSI’s North Parking Lot, located at: 1800 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214.
Check-in is at 7am on the start date of the program, and pick-up for OMSI Ambassadors is at 2pm.
