OMSI

OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) is a science and technology museum offering hands-on exhibits, educational programs, and immersive experiences.

Each summer, OMSI runs day and overnight camps for children entering grades K–12, with programming that includes science, engineering, outdoor adventure, and creative exploration.

Camps are held at the OMSI museum in Portland’s Central Eastside, as well as at Camp Gray on the Oregon Coast and Camp Hancock in the high desert. Prices for Summer Camp will be released when registration opens!

About the activity:

Get ready for a river-ing experience you’ll never forget! This session offers the best of both worlds: two nights of classic desert camp at Hancock followed by a multi-day rafting odyssey on the Lower Deschutes. Alongside expert guides from Ouzel Outfitters, you’ll spend an entire day paddling through scenic canyons and searching for riverside critters. After a night under the stars at our river camp, you’ll head back to home base to celebrate your journey. We’ve got you covered with all the necessary rafting and camping gear!

All check-ins and pick-ups will take place across from OMSI’s North Parking Lot, located at: 1800 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214.
Check-in is at 7am on the start date of the program, and pick-up for OMSI Ambassadors is at 2pm.
