About the activity:

This trip totally rocks! Immerse yourself in the high desert for an 11-day journey that transitions from backcountry hiking to a premier whitewater expedition. Under the guidance of OMSI leaders and Ouzel Outfitters, you'll navigate the John Day River, spotting wildlife and learning the secrets of the local geology. You'll spend your nights split between comfortable camp cabins and cozy tents along the riverbank. All rafting and camping gear is provided—just bring your energy, as we’ll be paddling up to 10 miles a day between breaks. Challenge yourself and make memories that will last forever!

All check-ins and pick-ups will take place across from OMSI’s North Parking Lot, located at: 1800 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214.
Check-in is at 7am on the start date of the program, and pick-up for OMSI Ambassadors is at 2pm.
