Engineering For Kids of Portland Metro offers hands-on STEM programs for children aged 4 to 14, including classes, camps, and workshops in robotics, coding, and engineering. Their engaging activities foster critical thinking and creativity in a fun, supportive environment. With a focus on inspiring the next generation of innovators, they make STEM learning exciting and accessible.

About the activity:

Ever wonder what happens before the Happily Ever After? In Twisted Fairy Tales Camp, students will reimagine classic stories through engineering challenges! They’ll design a getaway vehicle for Kate and the Beanstalk, create a quiet bridge for The Three Billy Goats Fluff, and build an edible reef to protect The Three Little Fish from the Big Bad Shark. Join us for a magical journey into the Engineering of Fairy Tales! Then in the afternoon, this class blends fun and learning with LEGO® WeDo™ Robots! Students will build a Hungry Alligator, Roaring Lion, and Flying Bird using LEGO® bricks, then bring them to life through programming on a laptop. Note: Before and After care are available through Catlin Gabel.
