Whimsy Wees is a process-focused art studio located in the Bethany area of Portland, Oregon, established in 2023 by Lisa Arcangel, a passionate educator with over 20 years of teaching experience and a B.F.A from Art Center College of Design. The studio offers a diverse range of art classes and workshops tailored for all ages—from toddlers ("Little Wees") to seniors ("Classic Wees")—emphasizing the joy of creativity and self-expression. Programs include after-school art classes, summer camps, homeschool workshops, family paint nights, kids' night out events, adult sip and paint sessions, and mobile art projects. Whimsy Wees fosters a positive and inclusive environment where everyone is encouraged to explore their artistic potential, focusing on the creative process rather than the final product.

About the activity:

When school’s out, send your child to us for a full day of creative fun! Designed for students in grades K–5, our Art Days spark imagination with engaging, themed projects in the morning and give kids the freedom in the afternoon to choose their own adventures—exploring the materials and techniques that inspire them most. Programs run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and we ask that each child brings a packed lunch and water bottle. Following the Beaverton School District calendar (with extra dates added as needed), our camps are the perfect way to keep kids learning, creating, and having a blast when school isn’t in session!
