Get ready for an extraordinary adventure! Spend the week as a bird biologist as you build your knowledge of local species and the work of local scientists. Join Bird Alliance Educators as we observe Osprey along the Willamette, warblers at local wetlands, and Pileated Woodpeckers in forest habitats. Learn how to interpret their calls, their importance in our ecosystems and what we can do to protect them. We’ll meet with professionals that work with birds, learn about efforts to help species here in Portland, and participate ourselves in community science data collection.
