Each morning begins with a scenic half-mile hike through pastures, forests, and a creek, ending in a beautiful oak savanna. Guided by expert educators, campers will explore nature, build outdoor skills, and foster curiosity, connections, and mindfulness. This week, kids will dive into an exciting foraging adventure, discovering edible and medicinal plants native to the Northwest! Along the way, we’ll stress the importance of safety—always foraging with an adult—and practice sustainable methods to help these plants thrive for generations. Together, we’ll thoughtfully gather what we need, honoring nature’s balance, and explore the many amazing uses of the plants we find. From teas to salves to tasty treats, campers will craft their own plant-based creations, sparking hands-on learning, creativity, and a deeper connection to the natural world!
