Micro:bit: Intro - (August 11 - August 15)

About the activity:

Prerequisites: For in-person courses, students will be provided with a Micro:bit to use, and a $10 maintenance fee will be added to the tuition. For online courses, students must purchase a Micro:bit prior to the class. Be sure to check delivery times, and if it's out of stock, alternative options will be provided.

Class Description: Discover the fun of coding with the Micro:bit, a small but powerful device packed with lights, sensors, and wireless capabilities. This course introduces key coding concepts like variables, conditions, and loops using an intuitive block-based platform. Students will create exciting projects, such as making the Micro:bit’s lights display pictures and animations, using its sensor to play games like dice and rock-paper-scissors, and designing a quick-reaction game with its buttons. It’s a hands-on and engaging way to dive into the world of coding!
