Engineering For Kids of Portland Metro offers hands-on STEM programs for children aged 4 to 14, including classes, camps, and workshops in robotics, coding, and engineering. About the activity:

Ever wonder how fairy tale characters reach their "happily ever after"? In the Twisted Fairy Tales Camp, students will reimagine classic stories, solving challenges with creativity and engineering! They'll design a getaway vehicle for Kate and the Beanstalk, craft a silent bridge-crossing method for The Three Billy Goats Fluff, and build a candy reef to shield The Three Little Fish from the Big Bad Shark. Join us for a magical adventure into the Engineering of Fairy Tales! While in the afternoon, Junior Mechanical Engineering classes introduce young engineers to the basics of energy, materials, and movement. With hands-on exploration, they’ll build their own roller coasters, catapults, cars, and more—turning curiosity into creativity!
