Jr Scratch and MaKey MaKey: Musical Adventures & Zany Zoo Engineers

When your favorite song plays, do you sit still or dance along? In Musical Adventures with Scratch and Makey Makey, students will explore how sounds are made and design their own versions of musical instruments like drums, pianos, guitars, and more. They’ll even create a dancing program to bring their music to life! The week wraps up with a fantastic mini concert starring all our students. Let’s make some noise! While in the afternoon, the animals at your local zoo need your help! They’ve outgrown their cages and are bored with their surroundings. In this class, students become zoo engineers and zoologists, learning about engineering, math, animals, and habitats. Through engaging read-alouds and hands-on challenges using the EFK Engineering Design Process, they’ll design creative solutions to make the zoo a happier place!
