At School of Rock Portland, we turn aspiring musicians into stage-ready rock stars! Located in the Hawthorne neighborhood, our performance-based programs offer lessons in guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and vocals, all taught by experienced musicians. Combining private instruction with group band rehearsals, students of all ages and skill levels gain the confidence and skills to perform live at local venues. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, join our vibrant community and unleash your inner rock star!

About the activity:

Calling all metalheads ages 8-17—get ready to raise your horns and pay tribute to the pioneers of Heavy Metal! In this high-energy, 5-day camp, musicians will dive into the legendary sounds of Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and more, featuring soaring vocals, shredding guitar, and thundering bass and drums. Campers will hone their skills, master epic riffs, and prepare for a face-melting live performance at the end of the week. Prior instrument experience is required to ensure a fun and intense rock experience for all. Join us and salute the Gods of Heavy Metal! (Drum spots are full!)
