Prerequisites: Prior basic coding experience is required, and some projects in this course will need a working webcam. This course is designed for students with coding experience; those new to coding should enroll in AI: Intro to Machine Learning (New Coders).
Class Description:
Step into the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)! In this course, students will explore how AI works by learning key concepts like neural networks, computer vision, and image recognition. They’ll gain hands-on experience with modern AI tools, including DALL-E, to generate artistic images, while also applying coding concepts such as variables and conditionals to create their own AI models. These models will power interactive Scratch projects, including video filters and touchless games. By the end of the course, students will have a solid understanding of AI and ML, know how to use AI for image and story generation, and be able to code their own AI-driven Scratch projects.
